Basic French Braid

French braids have been around for a long time and I am convinced that they will never fade out.  French braids are simple but fun and always add some elegance to your style.  It doesn't matter if you're 10 or if you're 40, there is some kind of braid for you! Here are some brief steps and pictures on how to do a simple french braid down the back of your head:

1. Comb your hair and then grab the section
of your hair where you want the braid to start.

2. Separate the section of hair you have chosen into three different sections.

3.  Cross the right section over the middle section.

4. Cross the left section of over the middle section.

5.  Grab a new section of hair near the right
section and gather it with the right.
With the new hair gathered, cross the
right section over the middle.

6. Repeat step 5 but with the left section.

7. Keep repeating steps 5 and 6 till you get the finished
 braid as shown in this photo.
